Default building a Shell Valley

If I purchase a Shell Valley roadster, how long should I expect it to take for body work and paint if I have a professional do it? Looking for an idea on total hours spent on the car.

After paint and body, is putting the rest of the car together more time consuming vs a FF?

Thank you!

Body work should be equal or less than a FFR. I would think the rest would be about equivalent - no riviting required. Constantly waiting for someone to buy the parts could slow it down a bit though

If your professional builder could focus on your project alone and dedicated 7-8 hours a day to it. Then you should have your unpainted SV in about a month. Painters will always tell you five to six weeks but a more realistic time frame would be three to six months. Why you ask? Because when preparing a car for paint, it is done in stages and there is a considerable amount of waiting on something to cure or dry or arrive. Dancing around a car with a paint gun is fairly quick but the preparation is time consuming and extremely critical.

I have a mint Factory Five MK-IV (2010 body built in 2011) that was Pro built and tuned and dyno'ed at Mr. Norm's in Chicago last year I would like to sell. I am 6'2" and fit fine , but I don't think it is a long wheel base car.

It is powered by a new Ford SVT 2003 Terminator 4.6 alloy block, Terminator Alloy heads and cam, Whipple 2.3 Supercharger, long tube headers and side piped with O2 sensors and T56 Tremac five speed . (I have two sized spools, pulleys and belts that will drop the Hp to around 540). The car is absolutely stunning and built to perfection with over $ 72,000 spent. Viper Metallic Blue with white stripes. Too much to mention until I create a proper classified ad.

Currently running the small spool and is dyno (Mr. Norm's) @ 674.3hp (at the rear wheels) and 662 of torque. It is actually as drivable as a Honda, but can get as wild as you would like. Full SVT Racing gauges, GPS speedo, push button start, plug in computer for tuning, everything is just beautifully done. and currently 625 miles. It is registered and titled as a 1965 Ford

This will save someone thousands as well as one year of building and writing checks.

I am asking $ 48,000
