weather strip
Hello all,
My hood has sunk a little bit and after messing around with the hinge screws, I think it is the weather stripping around the hood that has "settled" too much and causes the back side of the hood to sink a bit.
I think if I replace that rubber strip along the hood with a thicker/sturdier one, the hood will once again "float" to its perfect fit.
Will someone suggest a resource for this rubber stripping? The one offered by finishline.com seems just as anemic as the one my CSX car wears from new...
Thank you, and Cheers!

Thank you Rick 'n Nick I will check those out...
Nick, does the CSX rubber just peel off? Before I go out there and start messing things up, any specific trick so as to not damage the paint? I didnt know if you have done this job before, but it does not hurt to ask
Cheers!

A hair drier will work to loosen the adhesive on the back of the current weatherstripping without damaging the paint.

I have just peeled it off slowly, as Bill suggests a little warmth could help. Any glue left I use goo-gone or dry cleaning fluid.
