Default Front License Plate Bracket

The Porsche does not have a suitable bracket for the front license plate. I use the word suitable since a basic bracket ( for top of license plate only ) is included which requires the owner to drill mounting holes anywhere in the front grill opening.

With CT requiring a front license plate, the Dealer recommended the US Mill Works Swivel-Lock Front Plate Bracket. The cover to the tow hook plug is removed and the included tow hook bolt which is fastened to the license plate bracket is screwed in. The bracket is well made and assembles as advertised.

For other applications, a receptacle ( not included ) for the tow hook bolt could be mounted/installed according to where the owner wants the license plate. On the Cobra, I had attached a plate bracket to the underside of the parking/signal light with an underneath brace support.

If desired the plate bracket is easily removed. Would prefer not to have installed the bracket and plate, but eliminates a possible reason for a traffic stop, even though the front plate was in the vehicle " awaiting future installation "

If you have jack pads it's much simpler. Drill two holes in the plate the same diameter as the jack pad's studs (around 7/16") with the same spacing. Locate them on the plate so that the inboard edge of the plate just clears the radiator opening.
Install plate with the two jack pad nuts. A Greenlee punch makes a perfect, flat hole if you're particular.

If you use a front nudge bar these work well
