Old pictures....Cobras, Daytonas, GT40s
It's rare to come across pictures of Cobras, Daytonas and GT40s that haven't yet been widely published.
Here are some from the Bev Spencer collection...
MotorBinder | Shelby | Cobra
The rest are in the upcoming book (mainly Ferraris)
Cheers,
Glen

I was at the Laguna Race. It was the first time I got to spend the weekend with High School friends out of town & overnight. Four 16 & 17 year olds with no supervision in a new '64 Pontiace GTO, people kept staring at it like it was a space ship. I remember the race primarily being between the Cobras and 904 Porsches. Scremaing at full song between the old LH turn 3 (above the current parking corral) and under the bridge. Great time.

Thanks...saw the race(s) at Kent and Portland ect...great time to be young and enjoying the Trans Am, CanAm and Sports Cars...maybe it is just me but that was the golden age of road racing with cars that went on to be priceless and drivers that were legends.....even in NASCAR...
