Collector Autos Selling for High End Art Prices
Just recently a Ferrari sold for 52 million dollars. It was posted on the NART Spyder thread so here it is. Phatty also posted another link.
Ferrari 250 GTO reportedly sells for $52 million, becoming world’s most expen | Hemmings Daily
This is getting into the lower end of high end art money now. Recently there have been several GTO's sell in the 30 million range and this far exceeds those sales.
I always thought those 250 GTO's and many in the 250 & 275 series were going to be in the higher range for value. I have never entertained any offers in the past and thought my daughters would be the caretakers in the future.
But you know at these prices or even half that amount a prIvate foundation or cause could be funded with the sale of one or two autos. Sort of makes you think real hard now what is important in life.
Hey Phatty you can add that link.
