Nice original at Washington DC Auto Show
Walking the show on yesterday’s preview day I came across a simple display announcing HVA. What peaked my interest was the covered car in the corner.
I pick up some literature and learned HVA is the Historic Vehicle Association ( Historic Vehicle Association) which is committed to preserving the future of our automotive past. OK, great cause, so what’s under the cover and… wait… is that Peter Brock?
The rest was a blur right up until the cover comes off none other than the long lost Daytona Coupe C$X2287. WOW!
This Daytona Coupe is the very first car to be included in the permanent archives of the Library of Congress and the very first car to achieve National Heritage status.
Talk about a pleasant surprise. It’s on display through February 2nd.
