This is a great thread. Is it possible for you to post some pics after painting the body? Thanks.

Sorry about the delay getting some progress photos up but due to the fact we did such a large amount of glass work to this body I wanted to give it a little more time before getting color on it. That time has come and Monday we will start the painting process. Eddies custom color arrived last week, we cleaned the paint room and gave the body one last going over,,, it's ready!!
For now here's a few more chassis photos, complements of Eddie..

Right after high school we watched Gus Ziedema campaign Harr Ford's 427 Dragonsnake to numerous national records. That my friends will get Cobras in your blood for which there is no cure! The symptoms are only releaved by owning one. Two of my friends had originals and the Army got in my way. Now thanks to the power of the internet Friends like Ron and ERA we can build a car that is identical to the first one I saw at Harr Fords showroom as we say"BACK IN THE DAY" Eddie

Since it's raining in Ct. today my son in law talked me into working on the narrow hip. So we finished the first of our 3 step polishing process.
This is only a course cut, wait till you see the depth on the finial run

We start with Presta ultra cutting cream with course pad followed by 3-m finness it with med foam pad. After a couple of weeks we will sand with 3000 and re-polish. Stopped using corn starch when I was introduced to Zymol,,, that's the last products we buff in.

Now that the second of the 3 rounds with the polishers is finished we can now get the underside of the hood and trunk ready to aluminum plate or as it's know here "Morphed"
Once the body is back on the chassis we will do the final polishing

That looks really great. This is a fantastic and long overdue project. Can't wait to see the finished car.
