I pulled a mold from one of the two machined aluminum knobs that Eddie let me have for my ERA 148. A friend wanted a pair for his street car so I made him a set, the only difference is that I fabricated them out of high density plastic and during the process a steel nut is embedded into the liquid plastic before it cures, its very closes to the way the Bakelite knobs were made.
I can fab up a couple of sets of the knobs but you would have to purchase the logo online due to the copy rights.
If your interest give me a call at 203 239-0411 and ask for me (Ron)

Phil I can modify an ERA body for you, just call Peter at ERA to get one and I should have the molds pulled from Eddies mods soon.

A short video of the impressive machine work Eddie had to do to his new sunburst rim. The pin fit is nothing short of perfect.

That fit is beautiful!
BTW, the 'Stones crooning in the background of the video gave me a chuckle....in this case, you did get what you want!

More progress photos
Photo 1
A shaped backer is applied then 3 layers of fiberglass Material applied from the front.
After fenders are shaped I'll add another 4 layers of glass cloth from the back.
Photo 2
Reinforced plastic filler is applied
Photo 3
Sculpting the quarters using measurements taken from photos of original narrow hip cobras. Another few hours of work and I'll be ready to make templates from this quarter to aid in shaping the other one.
Took on a very elegant look

Anybody have an idea where I can find the correct Trico washer reservoir,or the Serck brass radiator tag for this build? I built my first ERA almost 30 years ago,and have been itching ever since to build a street roadster that was all about the detail.

You might check with Mickmate on the Trico bottle and radiator tag. I watched EBay in England for awhile for a Trico bottle but never turned up a correct on - some say they have found them there. If you can find one over here it will probably be pricey.

Looking good. It looks like you have trimmed the lower, front wheel flare also.

Shame you have to use those perfect Sunbursts during mock-up Ron. Will it be tough to sanitize the finish??

Chas don't worry, we remove the wheels during the bodywork and put them back on to check for clearance, photos and visual comparison to photos. And thanks for the photos Dan, I'll be placing those next to the ones we are using.

Fairly sure the blue wide hip with sunburst wheels is CSX3299.

Eddie stopped in last week, not only does he own the car but he's our narrow hip consultant and knows exactly which narrow hip cobra his looking to replicate.
He felt we nailed the overall look except that the lower rear sections still needed to be pulled in about 2 inches. We did a little surgery while he was here and pulled them. Yup !! He was right ,, that little detail made a big difference.
So we re-bonded the lower quarter into its new home and re-sculpted them. I let the filler out gas for a few days before appling a few coat of polyester gel with special sause. I'll let this cure for a week before sanding it down with 120 grit paper then once we pull the body and apply the inner fiberglass we'll flip it onto a body buck and apply a polyester gel-coat to the entire body.
I can see the daylight :-)
