That's my thoughts giving the fact that the dollar has lost 40% of its value since 2005.

Didn't it say that everything was changed to SC specs, so if that is correct, it wouldn't reflect a dash for a street car.

I can't imagine taking the chance, either.

Attaboy George, that's what insurance is for. The oil pressure and water temp are swapped to correct SC locations. The oil pressure gauge is also 100 and should be 160 for a 427.

When I look at current prices for originals (or near originals) and then think back to the crazy things that we did with ours back in the 1970s ....
Kill a half keg of beer, tell a few lies, and then spend the afternoon street racing. And we lived to this ripe, old age to tell about it.

Then what would CSX 3356 oil pressure read 100 or 160 ? The few that I have seen were reading 100'

Hard to tell really. As it is said , no two Cobra's were built alike.

3356 would be expected to have a 100psi oil press gage. Yes, there were variations in these cars, but far more often than not the differences follow chassis number or completion sequence correlation depending on what was utilized at the time.

Restored...to a different car.
So if you bought it, drove it and someone asked you, "Is it original", what would you say?
