If you haven't found your way to cobracountry.com, that is a good place to look for a car. Also, you can get an idea of the relative asking prices for the various replica manufacturers and get a feel for how different engines/equipment affect the value.

I have a couple friends here with Em and they are pretty well put together. SS Frame and some really nice other features. The main problem with EM is the wait once you placed your order. Once delivered and completed you should have a pretty nice Cobra. Granted they are NOT exact replica's but most of our cars are not. There are some variations in each from the originals. The builders had to make subtle changes to stay out of court. Get what you want and enjoy the heck out of it! I have had mine 14 years and I still get a grin on my face everytime I drive it not to mention the high fives and looks. By the way I do like to streetch it's legs every now and again!

Just a side note on the Everette Morrison. I would put either a FLAT BLACK stripe or a WIMBELDON WHITE stripe on it. But, that is just me.

I would agree - not too crazy about the color of the EM but after reading the build info it looks like a nice car. That Jag rear suspension will make for a nicer riding and handling car.

Guys,
What do you think about this car for 33K? even though it says 55k?
1964 Cobra 427 replica | San Rafael, California | California Motors
Also do you get better deals at car auctions? Or not much different? Do you guys know any good car auctions for classic cars in California. I live in West Los Angeles.
Thanks!

Auctions are intreging but I've attended just enough of them to believe they are not the road to a better deal. All it takes is one other guy who has an interest in the car you are bidding on and things can escalate out of reason quickly. And even if you prevail you still have the buyer fees to pay on top of the bid.

I agree with Patrick but that is up to you if you can live with this. I have one more thing to say. I purchased a Jeep body from Mid States/Shell Valley and while they are solidly built, the quality of the finishing touches is not there. We had a hell of a hard time installing the doors and top and ended up using a soft top vs hard top and half doors made out of fiberglass vs the metal doors; quite an added expense. I have not seen in detail their Cobra bodies but be aware of these possible issues.
regards
Lou

The sales man actually made a mistake. He was talking about another Shelby they have for sale. I was so bummed.
