Dew Diligence...
Hello All,
Yes, dew diligence because I'm slobbering on myself with the notion I'll soon be a Cobra Replica owner. This is my first posting and I'm looking for help with my "homework". I'm researching the Cobra replica market and trying to find the right car for my needs and budget. Currently I'm looking at some older cars and would like to start a discussion about pros and cons. I found a very nice condition LA Exotics car, kit made in mid 90's, finished recently. Quality of the glass and frame seem high. Two concerns: the engine seems to sit very far forward (a built 302) and the floor pan can be seen under the sides of the car(side pipes mostly cover). Should I be worried about these two issues? I want the best handling car I can get at a mid 30k price and not sure if the forward mounted engine in this brand will be an issue. Does anyone else have a problem with the aesthetics of the LA Exotics floor pan? Is it present in all models?
The other vehicle is a similar-aged Classic Roadster. Haven't seen the car in person. Any issues or things to look for in this frame/body package?
Thanks for throwing in your two cents! Also, I posted this this morning and have yet to see it on the forum. If my first post was delayed and this is a duplicate, please forgive my exuberance.
