Gary, nice numbers, did the dyno calculated the FWHP from the RWHP? I had my car on a Mustang style dyno last year and I was in the 370s RWHP @ 6200. It didn't convert it, I just figured 17-19%

I watched the build of your car, both the engine and followed as Jay updated pictures in his Gallery on VMS website. Very nice build! Post a vid of your car running sometime!

Thinking about clamping it to the roll bar but the wind will be pretty bad sound wise, I think I saw Jay use a remote mic???
I got a remote Olympus stero mic, think it was 49.00 You will need to get the Go Pro adapter and an extension. Then the roll bar mount and the mic taped to the dash works perfect!!!!! Good luck with the new engine!!!

I looked at your engine dyno sheet, it didn't gain much from 6500 to 7200, so you're probably safe at stopping there on the chassis dyno. I have seen a significant difference in the cars I've had on Dynojets and Mustangs dynos though, anywhere from 5-10%. Dynoing with the hood shut and everything sealed up will also give more of a "real world" result.

They are certainly useful for tuning though and finding out that the linkage wasn't letting the carb open all the way was definitely worth the money.

Gary
You should give yourself more credit, you've done plenty of work. Glad things are dialed in.
