Before the Cobra, the AC ace.
Its easy to see the design features in the AC ace that eventually become the Cobra, especially in the tail.
I would like to post an image here but how???? Anyone??

Check out the "FAQ" section for posting photo's.
The car immediately preceding the Cobra was the AC Ace 2.6RS. Yes, it is easy to see where the Cobra's design came from.

I think you have to post a certain number of posts before you can upload images but I don't know how many. Maybe that's what's wrong?

Wait just a minute. How dare AC Cars, of some rink-dink foreign nation, claim that design as theirs? Everyone knows Carroll Shelby Licensing owns the rights to the design of the Cobra and - well, if this picture were anything but a hoax perpetrated on the unsuspecting masses - photos like this could very well make gullible people think Shelby had nothing at all to do with the design of the Cobra that he has so vociferously defended for so many years. And how would that look?

Wait a minute, Ned. You've taken to writing in Trevor's vernacular. Go drink a warm beer...

Ned's always stealing my vernacular!! I designed my own vernacular....
That 'fake' photo of the car claiming to be a (Ford powered!!) Ace was taken on the cricket pitch of Goose Green. I drive past it regularly as my son lives close by...not changed much over the past half-century-plus, but the cars have changed. No Standard Vanguards and Austin A35s now!

Trevor, your mum wanted me too remind you not to play with your vernacular, or you'll go blind.

I'm sorry I brought it up. Treavor's vernacular, that is. Oh never mind.

Just a thought but are you trying to upload photo's to a thread directly from your computer?
I load my photo's to photobucket, then copy the link to upload to Club Cobra.
You could also load them to your CC album, then link them to a thread.
Just a thought.

What's the story on the very well defined polished areas?
Cheers,

Thanks Larry, I couldn't make it work! No they are cars I've built, love an ace as there so easy to build and restore. Polished areas Glen are the new handformed/wheeled sections and the dull areas are where the welds are. Currently building another ace at present...Cheers N
