Sir, can I see a picture of your real Shelby Cobra? They are so rare in public. I have never seen a real Cobra in person outside of a museum.
Even at Jay Leno's garage, he told me his Cobra wasn't real.

Be clear on what your definition is. Maybe I'll respect it. If it's the same as SAAC's no problem.

Ok, this one's drawing to an end as well...seems like everyone's had a say or two.
If anyone feels the need...sum up your position (rationally and nicely).

In 1993 I finished the build of a RAM Cobra with a 496cui Chevy BB from leftover engine parts of a McLaren M8F (#02). Not much who could beat that (there should be a pic im my gallery). Curb weight was under 2.000lbs.
In 95(?) at the convention I was taken around the track in Altlanta by "Free Cobra rides" in a blue 427, which was awesome. Afterwards I thanked the driver and showed him pics of my car. Seeing the engine he said: I wish I had a all ally Chevy BB in my Cobra!
The essence is: Put whatever you can get in it and enjoy the ride.

How about terms '60s era Cobra', or '70s era Cobra', etc.? That would delineate where a car stood in the pecking order.
Chevy or Ford? You could say once it left the plant neither, as whoevers machine shop has probably rebuilt it could claim to be the manufacturer, maybe 'brand' would be more appropriate, ah, this could go on and on...

Appreciate the opportunity
Chevy in a Cobra?
Yes, perfectly acceptable given the early beginnings of this great car -
Racing in the SCCA championship events in the USA from 1957 was a Chevrolet V8-engined AC Ace featuring stylish flared bodywork. Naturally other SCCA racers would have seen this car in action and taken note.
Cobra: The First 40 Years - Trevor Legate - Google Books
Carroll Shelby took note -
In September 1961, American automotive designer Carroll Shelby wrote to AC asking if they would build him a car modified to accept a V8 engine. AC agreed, provided a suitable engine could be found. Shelby went to Chevrolet to see if they would provide him with engines, but not wanting to add competition to the Corvette they said no.
Enjoy your chevy powered cobra, consider it a replica of one of the earliest Cobra prototypes.

Good night give it a rest already, every word out of your mouth is SAAC this and SAAC that. We know your position, others have theirs. Most don't care what SAAC says.

So really Real1 you have a continuation of a replica of a Chevy powered AC Ace, and you have the wrong motor in it too.

Ok...that'll do it. Needed a last little bit of sweetness from the underside.
