This thread is a scream. On more than on level.

I must say though that if you are throwing SAAC definitions to the wind for the new Club Cobra Charlie Brown definitions you should go with "Tribute Cobras" for your cars. Perfect actually. Well done!

Actually Evan, give this some time to germinate, it may change some minds about SAAC. Thanks for the clarification provided on the Chevy in a cobra thread.

OK guys subject change.

Now that old Shelby is past, getting his autograph will very difficult to get. Do you think we should go back to the fifties and start cromeing the glove box doors to check out whats under the ladies skirts? To me, its more interesting than trying to put a name to a dream.

Can't get an orginal, too bloody expensive. But I can get and build a cobra that becomes a little bit of heaven every time you get in and turn the key. It will not matter how much you spend. Driving a Cobra for me is pending a wee bit of time in Heaven before I get dragged to Hell where I belong.

Before you begin celebrating read what I said carefully. Does an original Cobra stop being a Cobra if the owner switches to a chevy engine? No. Neither would a current production Cobra. However that being sad I don't know any owners of either that would or did do such a thing. Do you? Post the CSX # if you do.

I thought this was settled... "Fakeydoo."

Although I've always preferred the much more mature sounding "fake" or "damn fake."

Not my silly pet peeve but apparently yours. Zero, 1 or 50? Doesn't change anything, your words not mine.

If you want to scratch that itch then run to ground all those "unknowns; or similars" listed in the registry

My point is that the Registry does not tell us what drive train must continue to be in the car for a Cobra to be a Cobra. History tells us what needs to be in the car to accurately replicate or continue history accurately as to the original series.

Agreed but doubtful. However, if minds do change they will likely only change as to the definitional categories of their liking. Remember, this is CC.
