Suitcase? Why would anyone go to such great lengths to replicate a chimney-smelling FIA w/small block, when you can build a chimney-smelling big block 427?

I mean, really, don't you love those racer-boy sidepipes running the full length tire-to-tire? More pipe to burn your leg on.

And I think 427 S/C's had more stickers than FIA's, which is definitely a big winner in my book. I always loved stickers. And they were great behavior modifiers too when my elderly AARP ADD kicked-in...a couple years ago.

At least I wouldn't mind vinyl-wrapping an FIA. Big block "fakes" are just too valuable to screw around with like that.

Pretty much most of the people who own Cobras

If JB or Miley were driving and promoting these hot rods shaped like a Cobra, there would be a spike on sales. Go tell Corvette bosses that putting a stingray in a movie aimed at young adults, Captain America 2, doesn't fit with their sales demographics.

Who wants a spike in sales I like the fact you don't see a Cobra every day of the week and I sure as heck don't want to drive the same thing as those 2 fools.

I play racing games because I don't want to sweat in a hot rod without AC or a roof. I love air conditioning too much.

You are definitely not in the right place go back to your Prius forum

Remember this is nyg, he's already suggested maybe a rat-rod with Mad Max touches. I'm thinking BBC in a FIA with twin smoke stacks up the sides so as not to burn those smooth soft calves. Vinyl-wrap it with scull and cross bones over flat rust brown. Now that right there will drive the steampunk girls wild!

You don't own a cobra. Check SAAC registry.

You own a nice hot rod in the shape of cobra.

NYG's next topic to start a thread with.

The Rise and Fall of Unique Performance. Was it Shelby's fault that they weren't called Ethyl's instead of Eleanor's?

Might as well, since NYG has covered nearly every other controversial Shelby-related topic with his first 150 or so posts.

No, he won't reach full stride until he starts posting photos of sweating PCV hoses.

Cyber bullying refers to any harassment that occurs via the internet, cell phone, or other devices. Communication technology is used to intentionally harm others through hostile behavior such as sending text messages and posting ugly comments on the internet to hurt or embarrass another person. Cyber-bullying could be limited to posting rumors or gossips about a person in the internet bringing about hatred in other's minds; or it may go to the extent of personally identifying victims and publishing materials severely defaming and humiliating them. This site could be involved in a lawsuit such has happened to other forums. I would remove this whole post because its not "entertaining".
Maybe I missed something but it just Appeared to me like the man asked a simple question on events that are public. He didnt defame anyone. He asked a question. He said he read some on line article and had some questions. This site has NEVER been kind to Shelby, SAI, his charity, his current production Cobras etc..so what's the issue with the question. Some got their panties in a bunch because he mention Kirkham in his question? Christ. You referred him to an authoritative source. Let him read it. You can also simply correct him and answer his question and leave it at that.

So he's a techno geek that likes battery powered cars and prefers simulation to the real thing. Who cares. So he wants a car shaped like a Cobra with Madd Max touches. Who cares. Many of you have "replicas" with BMW suspension, 5.0 motors and other engine sizes that never saw a Cobra, Willwood brakes, square rail frames, double roll bars, Cammers, Chevy motors, 17" wheels, bucket seats, painted colors that were never on a Cobra etc. Etc. What makes your choice of replica build more legitimate as a replica or appropriate than his?

In fact the concern I have is are guys like him becoming the norm which would be the beginning of the end for Cobras and replicas.

Yes. Of course you have a "Cobra". Yes you do. Don't pay any attention to that silly little Registry and reality since the real reality is in your head. Can't let the facts get in way of fantasy.

Yes, you did. To get context, you have to read the bulk of his postings in the past few weeks. However, you two do have some common ground.

All aside, what we are seeing here is the a generation gap.

The original question is mostly answered, and if was in marketing I would get a newcomer like NYG on my side and rethink marketing of my Cobras.

The essence (now I pretend I am in marketing) is: Get the youngsters in your car and haul them around a racetrack. One lap is enough.

Or a 1/4 mile. There is nothing more convincing than noise, smoke and wheel spin halfway to the 1/4 mile mark, with a bit of sideways when shifting. Use old tires. Wheel spin sells. Traction won't.

Around here I do. I'm the only one who gets the facts and reality. It's all in that authoritative reference you cited to but selectively ignore.

I didn't say I had an original Cobra just a Cobra. If any asks if it's original I tell them it's a Replica, we've been over this repeatedly. Yours is no more an original than mine. Replay, repeat, etc...

Your in Fantasy land because you paid so much more for the same thing and try to justify why you spent the money.

ok.

I know very clearly what you said. More disrespect of what others own in a classic CC envy tantrum.

Let me help since you cant seem to grasp this (but I suspect really do and continue your position out of sour grapes). Even the NYG gets it. You don't have a "Cobra" either. That's fact. Actually, what you have is a replica of mine. The company that built your "replica" in fact paid a licencing fee to Shelby American to build and sell your Replica and in fact also constructs glass body current production Cobras under contract with SAI for import. Apparently you also disagree with the company that built your car also.

Nope with you especially it's seems a clear case of envy.

Don't need to justify anything. It's all in that silly Registry.
