Default Kirkham unpainted cobra sighting

Was at HPT for the NASA series as a spectator and someone, didn't get to meet the character, drove their Kirkham polished cobra (see other thread to determine if it is continuation, real, or alien) with stainless side pipes. Have to say, that thing was beautiful! The only thing man can do to something like that after purchase is to deface it, it really belongs under a coffee table or on a rotisserie with ample lightage. Didn't get to look under the hood but from the exterior I would bet it would be extraordinary as well. The stainless side pipes and exhaust were perfect and fit in with the body very well. I was amazed at the smoothness of the aluminum, the blue sky and clouds were perfectly reflected on the smooth lines of the body.

Just an amazing creation. I would never of thought that bare aluminum would look so good.

The word stunning does not do them justice ...

U can have the look with a chrome vinyl wrap for about $2K, material and labor.

Also, check your state/country if this modification is legal.

In LA county, cops are writing tickets.

Not sure but the color of the wrap might not be the original color as stated on the registration.

There is a company called panal-craft that makes alum cobra bodies. Check the cc classifieds. Not sure of price or build time.

The polished stainless exhaust was itself something to behold. Never suspected polished stainless could look so well, had kind of a patina from the heat of the separate exhaust tubes that gradually diminished as they were merged.

Well then, I suggest you don't paint your car another color???

Can't be the reason, I'm sure it's just some obscure law they are applying.

I don't understand:

1. Cars get painted all the time

2. Cars get wraps all the time (usually advertising).

LA, commonly referred to as La La Land. Take a look at what West Coast Customs does for the "Hollywood" crowd. Definitely a place where the lunatic fringe has set up shop, but walk into any Starbucks for that morning Cappuccino, and you will not see a finer set of fashion conscience women cruise through in their tight jeans or spandex slacks

The wrap looks very good, but not as authentic as a polished Kirkham. You can tell a difference.

Thanks for your kind comments Vector1. I live in Topeka and spend a lot of time at Heartland Park. Let us know next time you visit as there are a handful of Cobra owners in Topeka that would be delighted to make your acquaintance.

LA happens to be car universe, from hot rods to modern super cars.

WCC must be doing something right. Carroll Shelby partnered on a Shelby/WCC wide body Mustang GT500.

LA certainly is car universe.
Last week I was driving on the 405. I see a gaggle of 4 Lambos driving together. No, make that 5. Just another Tuesday in LA LA Land.
And then there's the monthly Ferrari 355 club that gathers at my neighbor's house. That's low hanging fruit, so I'm a good boy, I promise.

I'd say that's not a Cobra but I don't want to offend anyone...

Hello Bill, I looked for an owner, wondering if I could jump in and take it for a spin. Thought you might have been at the flagging station. Very nice! I'm on the western edge of Lawrence now so HPT is just 18 mi. away. Would love to meet some of the local Cobra owners.

I haven't kept in contact with WCC in some time. Before my twins were born we checked out every SUV on the market. Benz SUV was dated, Lexus large SUV was a little long in the tooth so settled with GX 470 SUV. Bought 2 and had one customized by WCC in late 2003. Had the car repainted in that tectite gray metallic from merceds and seats done in Gucci pink pattern. Her initials were SL so that was added also. They were on a tight schedule and very pleased with the work. IF she was still around might have gone with that big Russian suv with the seats covered in moose penis skin.
