Yup, as well as FFRs and every other makes. It's summer, best time to unload a roadster.

Low mileage SPF and Backdraft seem to trade hands more often than any other. My own experience in buying such low mileage Cobras is that some people desire the car, then realize it is not for them, thus putting them on the market. Several who have briefly owned a Cobra (real or replica) have told me it either was too raw for them, it scared them to drive, or their wife refused to get back in the car with them after one drive.
The bottom line, a Cobra is not for everyone.

When I had my car custom built for me at ERA, Peter told me I was never allowed to sell it -- I could only pass it down to my heirs. I took him seriously.

I just bought my ERA and it took me 6 months to find the right one. I think I could have bought an SPF in a week; but isn't it most likely because they've produced a lot more cars than the other builders?

Pretty much the same here, except it was my wife that made that point very clear. Every now and then I'll see something like an Oscar India or some aging Italian with a many-holed motor in the front and start mumbling about how we could sell the arruminum beast and get something more suitable for touring...and then she gives me that look that gents that have been married for numerous decades know all too well.
With her, the car is only part of it. From meeting La Familia Kirkham and the trips in the snow to Provo, to loving that old flirt Boghosian, to cruising through rain and sun with strange people (middle eastern bus drivers, pygmy albino Africans, pilots who fly powered gliders with big cameras, etc.) that are now part of our family, to holding fort and making sure folks are fed and comfortable at open track events, to reading stuff over my shoulder from this place and the other place, she has enjoyed the whole damn thing and has threatened physical violence upon my sorry ass for even thinking about it.
NYG...I surely do hope that if and when you dip your toes into the water that your bed buddy is all in with you.

Maybe median Cobra age is 65 and their priorities are changing. In 3-5 years there is going to be a huge glut of Cobras on the market. The demographics of owners is not 35.

Maybe. After I'm dead and buried, if one of my kids hits on such hard times that they have to sell my beloved ERA-732, then so be it. Whether, at that time, she's worth 25K, 50K, 75K, 100K+, doesn't really matter. The real value of ERA-732 is that it "was Dad's." I know there's at least one thread that pops up here from time to time where the OP essentially writes "find me my daddy's ERA and I'll throw as much money as necessary to everybody in order to get it back in to my garage." I understand completely -- but I wouldn't want anybody to miss a meal, or have to take a loan to stay in school, just to keep my car in their garage.

I think it has a lot to do with what people envisioned and what reality is. A Cobra is not for everyone. Its raw, smells like gas and exhaust, hair gets blown all over, intimidates small children, dogs, car alarms, and most women, is extremely fast at 0-150, and I absolutely love my ERA. While others may question the value of them, I do not as value is in the eye of the beholder.

Unless u are driving, it is no fun in the passenger seat. Remove the extra seat and install a mini fridge.

My wife hardly allows me to go alone. She loves it. She's always asking, "Can we go for a drive tonight?" She puts on her earbuds and sings the whole time, sometimes with her arms in the air. I think she loves it more that I do.
Of course, she knows that if I go alone, there's more chance of danger

MINE TOO! She drives a Shelby GT500 Mustang daily and prefers we take my SPF for fun, unless it's raining.

I think I have seen your cobra in WH, your passenger did seem very happy.
My kids love being copilots as well, especially with their aviator googles

copy that, Jamo!
After months of reading, researching, and kicking nostaglia, I have taken myself out of hot rod cobras... at least until year 2017.
My Nissan lease will be done next summer and frees up the parking space for a fake Porsche 550 Spyder. This toy will be a better match for the family.
