Charley Chan say: You funny guy.
It would be nice to see more pics. I know there are more really great Shelbys, AC and Kirkhams here that would be great to see and provide a great viewing resource. Was going to ask Dave or Tom to post up pics of their original and an early Kirkham for reference. Was also going to ask if they could post the Coupe.
Thanks.

Some great looking cars on this thread. I am almost finished with my Exact Carbon Fiber car and the shots here are just what I am shooting for in stance and looks. I'm hoping it will look half as good as some of these cars when it is done. Just waiting on the painter now.

Tony, I think ONLY REAL MEN ( )paint their wheels, and in yellow, well... too cool. I absolutely dig the way you have made your car stand alone. Well done!!

I bought the car almost exactly as it was. The original owner had the wheels painted. It cost him a pretty penny too. The colors are British racing green (the jaguar paint code) and sunburst yellow (called that in the Shelby list but it is some other Mercedes color) I had the list of Shelby color codes but can no longer find it
Red rocks is my favorite place to take car pics. If I were doing another shoot I would be tempted to ship the car there.
After dusting off these for here I realized how much I missed it. It is without a doubt the funnest car I've ever driven. It is also simultaneously the most uncomfortable car I ever rode in

I was also told that the lights on the roundels were same as the originals made in Italy (if I recall corectly) and that they also set the owner back a few bucks for both installation and the parts. Roundels were also painted. I never got numbers because I could never decide which I would use. If I had kept it I would have had it repainted when it needed it in guardsman blue. I'm told it was repainted that color by McClusky before it went to japan

Tony,
Verified that it was in McCluskey's shop and went to Japan but they didn't touch it.

The roundel lights on the SAI team Cobras were typically LUCAS units, they used the rectangular license plate lights on early team cars and the ones here in the photos on the later team cars:

CSX6363 is within a red hair of it's second trip out of the garage. I've had too many distractions (building a garage, TDY, honey-do's) over the past year but since I've retired, I have "rededicated" my life to finishing the car. Looking forward to posting a few glamor shots as soon as I work through a few issues.
Disclaimer: Both the car and the garage are WIP (work-in-progress) so please ignore the mess.

Sandwich' you read my mind! I was thinkin' "lets see that billet motor" and BAM!, there it was !! The engine looks like it has a few miles on it, why did you pull it ? Oil leaks around the intake? I like the flywheel/clutch set-up, care to share ?
