If bare metal was a good look the auto manufacturers would leave all the cars bare metal and just clear coat them.
.
Well, if the auto manufacturers knew what they were doing, then they wouldn't have had to recall just about every car produced in the last decade and half just in 2014.
And not many manufacturers use aluminum and the ones that do produce their cars in aluminum, well, let's just say you wouldn't want to look at it bare.
Hope he didn't swallow the hook so you can toss him back!
Must be an engineer. Those guys have a sense-of-humorectomy upon graduating college.
Hold on there!
On behalf of all us engineering graduates, I resemble that remark...
But on a more helpful note, perhaps we could schedule a "Throwback Day" with Earl Scheib..."Any car, any color...$19.95"
Stripes, of course, would be extra.

This is merely an attempt to help out those less fortunate owners who must be forced to do without. The Cobra Nation wants to help. Let us try. Give generously.

I have noticed a disturbing trend, and I've decided to try to help. There are apparently Cobra owners out there that are financially unable to care for their cars properly. Many scrimp and save for years, finally able to afford their dream Cobra, only to come up short and leave their car unpainted. In this day and age, it's unacceptable for these Cobras to remain naked, slowly decaying and oxidizing.
We live in the most prosperous country in history. With all the benefits we enjoy, it seems ironic that a few must suffer so. We can help.
I have started a charity, NakedCobraFund@gmail.com , that will rid the world of naked Cobras and help these poor owners overcome their plight. Donations to the Fund will be used to aid those in need to cure their unfortunate lack of pigmentation.
Please give what you can. Any donation, however small or large, will go to a good cause. Help me to cure this problem. Because we can.
Ridiculous post, better to give the money to people without homes or food. If you can't finish your car just sale it and move on...

That's an even better idea! It will generate much more revenue!
The Fund will sell the cars of the owners who will admit that it's not finished unless it's painted, since they obviously can't finish it and should move on. It will then use the proceeds to paint the remaining cars. Brilliant!

Must be old person humor, ill prob get it in 20 years when I'm 55 years old, until then im young and naïve, man it's great being young and dumb...ill take youth over experience any day, the joys of being young...
I find it hard to believe no one mentioned the poor souls who cannot afford real magnesium knock off wheels. It must be so embarrassing to drive with cheap aluminum ones.
