Looks and sounds great awesome job on the pictures too!
I'm building a 289 as well.
Are the headers and side pipes FF?

Erik
Do you have a part number for the headers? I'm going to need them for my 289FIA

Bill,
just do a search on Headman headers (shorties) for a 302...they are the only thing that comes up.
.....
Started fitting the body...everything is pretty much right on.....dash is coming along as well

I dropped by Eric's yesterday and he had the car on scales. While we were talking he pulled out his phone, pulled up an APP and did the cal's. Jacked up the rear of the car, adjusted the passenger side coil down three turns. Put the car back on the scales, punched the new data into the phone and declared all was good.
I'm bringing my Cobra over in a month or so and get him to balance it. And then there is the GT 40 but it will be more than a few months before it's ready for the scales.
As I left he took the FIA for a test drive.

Awesome. Did you buy the webers already pre-jetted according to your engine specs, or did you guys have to fiddle some with them during the dyno runs?

They came in a bit rich. 11.8 at WOT. They were a tick lean for 10% ethenol at the low end...so just a small change there. Went 2 sizes down on the mains. The thing idles and drive awesome..the weber specific cam is key. None of the horror stories you hear about...really very nice and sounds awesome.

What size air correctors did you end up with? If you don't mind, can you post some engine specs & jetting? I'll as it to my list

Very nice car! Modelled on CSX2001?
Is that a Lucas generator, or have you used an alternator built into a gen. housing?
You have done a great job on what must be record time.
Cheers,
Glen

I stopped by today to see the car and the pictures to not do the car justice. Erik has done an outstanding job on his FIA and yes, the attention to detail is exceptional too.
