Davide,
Is the body fiberglass or metal? Hard to tell from the pictures. It sort of looks like brushed aluminum, but it might be paint.

Davide,
To my knowledge, the only manufacturers selling brushed aluminum are Kirkham and Shelby. I think Shelby's aluminum bodies are sourced from Kirkham. Not sure about that. Not sure they are the only sellers either. Someone with better knowledge will chime in.

That interior does not look like a Kirkham or Shelby.
There are other manufacturers that make aluminum bodies. There are also hobbyists that have made aluminum bodies from scratch.
In terms of manufacturers that have made aluminum bodied cobras, I can think of a few:
- AC (under the original owners, under Brain Angliss, under Alan Lubinsky)
- Brooklands New Build AC 427
- North Devon Metal Craft North Devon Metalcraft | Manufacturers of replacement steel and aluminium motor bodies
- Panel Craft Panel Craft LLC - Restoration of Classic Automobiles by Hand - Custom rolled Sheet Metal -- Bethlehem, NH
- Kimmons (which might be the company that did the body for Jay Leno's cobra replica??)
- McCluskey http://www.mccluskeyltd.com/index2.html
However, based on the not quite authentic interior of your car (dash, transmission tunnel, etc.), I don't think you have any of the above.
I recall that there was a company in Europe (maybe Switzerland??) that was building aluminum bodied Cobra Daytona coupes. Maybe they had something to do with your car.

It was not Switzerland, it was Sweden:

Hmm, that car looks much more accurate of a replica than I remember. The only part of the body that looks sort of odd is the headlights.

Wow !! other than the added swoopy-dupe on the tranny tunnel, it looks very authentic, and I'm 99.9 % sure it is an aluminum body. Seeing many clues such as hood latch brackets , firewall electrical components, door hinges, door tube frame, pedals, etc that, while probably not original, are original looking.
As far as the body goes, it does look like a Kirkham, but if so, it could be no older than 1997. It could very well be hand formed by local craftsman or shop. Remember, this is in Italy, home of the aluminum bodied specials !!
Chassis could be from an AC Bristol, but would have 3" rails instead of the 4" 427 rails.
I doubt they would have kept the transverse leaf susp.
Need pics/ discription of frame/suspension.

The passenger footbox is angled very sharply from the trans tunnel. And the seats have a sort of pleat about 4" from the very front. Don't recognize either, but they may be clues as to the origin.
The body is good looking, whatever it is.

Hmm, that oil cooler scoop does look like a Kirkham (as opposed to an original).
Since you have a small block ford engine...
... maybe someone thought they could modify the transmission tunnel to give you more foot room (side to side)??
Maybe it's a Kirkham or Shelby (sourced from Kirkham) with some "interesting" modifications.

Is there a VIN number stamped on the driver side shock tower above the spring perch that is visible when leaning over the passenger fender?

Sorry, I was talking about that Swedish car from my link having odd headlights, not your car.

Davide,
The California Title shows it was registered there in 1996. I think this really limits the possibilities. Kirkham's website says they date back to 1994.
Could this be an early Kirkham? Maybe the strange looking stuff around the trans tunnel and the footbox is what they did back then.
Regardless, that is a beautiful aluminum car.
