Default backdraft cobra sidepipe clearance

does anyone know why the sidepipe clearance is 2" from body to first tube on drivers side sidepipe but only 1 1/4" on passengers side is it possible to use spacer to push it out the additional 3/4"

Can you clarify engine and number of car? And exactly what area?

My 1109 has a dart 351 and they are within a 1/4" (hard to give an exact measurement comparison on what you are basing it off, but 1" on drivers side, 3/4" on passenger side). I would call it a very tight 1/4" too, closer to 3/16" or less.

For some reason, I found this issue to be curiously interesting. My clearances are about equal at 3/4" for both sides where the pipes curve out. Where the pipes are parallel to the body they are about 1 3/8" for driver side and 1 1/4" passenger side. After 6500 miles, I notice a dullness to the paint finish near where the exhaust exits from the body. I wonder if the heat effects will cause anything more noticeable in the future?
