1966 Cobra 427 with Ford Vin tag
I recently came into ownership of a 1966 Cobra 427 replica that has a Ford VIN tag on the drivers side firewall. It is not a Ford VIN. It has the vin and body, color etc codes on it. I can not find any other identification on the body anywhere.
the story I got was it was built in 1997 as a promotional giveaway for a Ford Dealership near Rockwall, Texas. It has a 460 ford motor and a c4 transmission. the body is mounted on a 1974 c3 corvette chassis. Carroll Shelby's signature is on the dash.
I haven't been able to find out any info on the body as to who manufactured it. is there anyone here who can enlighten me on where there is a manufacturer identification tag for the body or any information that will help me ID this body.

The rear fenders don't look wide enough for this to be a Stallion, and they had their own frames - not C3 fames.

I believe the Stallion had a 96" WB. My West Coast does, and from what I understand the WC cars were built on the Stallion jigs, etc.
