See boys and girls, when you're bad, your Uncle Sam will come and take your toys away from you.

I think I would be a little wary of buying that car. To many statements about as is and the buyer has no almost no rights in regards to looking at it. Also getting it registered here in California could be a problem.

're: condition, I especially appreciated their assessment of the headliner early on as "good", followed later with the information that there is no top.

And notice that while they discuss the engine, they don't picture it. Buyer beware indeed.

It says a TCI auto trans, but the shifter doesn't look like an auto. Must be a setup I'm not familiar with.

The two most likely reasons are owner was convicted on a drug-related crime or crimes and/or the ever popular unpaid taxes.

I thought I had read somewhere on this site about nightmares registering cars and boats once they are "tainted" by the DEA, DHS or IRS.

It doesn't provide the CSX number. Does anyone know the car or know how to get the number? It states that it's in North Las Vegas. Maybe never went far from SAI? Might help us all get a little more history on it.
Hello..Ned??

It states that you can call a number for more info including VIN. Maybe the rest of the story too, esp. if the title is locked up from US registration. There was another fed car not too long ago that could only be sold to an overseas buyer, I think it was one that someone tried to sneak into Canada and couldn't be registered in the US again?

I called the listed number for the Custodian and it goes directly to the US Marshall's office. I left a message for Veronica and will provide anything I may learn.

the car was registered in NV. i don't have the VIN number but from what I was told from 2nd and 3rd party sources, it's basically a brand new car. happy bidding.

Nothing less than $50,000.

I'm not in the least bit surprised that it would be "brand new" since I'd be willing to bet that between the AT and the EFI, the poor thing doesn't run very well.
