The words "ever" & "remotely resembles" means I'm willing to bet that in good time you'll be wrong...
Else, take those words out of the equation, and my feeling is that there's less than 0.1% chance you're wrong.
Regardless (or Irregardless, as my Latin American Father-in-law says) I respond for those others who may be reading.

Maybe he didn't get the "simple" answer he was looking for.

Well, ol' Fred in NY joined the forum a year and a half ago. He's made that one single post, asking a question that immediately says "I haven't really read any of the posts on this forum." Sorry, but I just don't see the passion oozing out....

Or, he has spent the last year reading the forum and now has a few specific questions before he pulls the trigger.

Naaah, he hasn't even bothered to read the responses to his first post. More likely, it was a "three Scotch post."

I think if Fred wants power, then buy the Corvette. If he wants "gas" mileage, then buy the Nissan Leaf.

Where in NY are you located? I live near Albany, more than willing to spend some time talking Cobra replicas. LMK if you are interested.

I would be surprised if the OP made it this far with the brow beatings. The Bomber is giving him a fighting chance, count me in as well.

For those of you that replied thoughtfully - Thank you.
I have been waiting to see where this all went.
Yes I have been lurking on here for a while - trying to learn. The one thing I did learn is that some of you guys are so arrogant. I don't get it - you guys get really get excited by taking shots at other people. Sorry if i didn't meet you expectations on the quality of my question.
Well - you don't have to worry about ol Fred - he wont waste your time with "simple" questions. Its clear based on your feeling - I'm not worthy of a "cobra" and at your suggestion maybe I will go for another Vette.

Yes, it can be a tough crowd here, but also a very helpful crowd. You sometimes just need a tough skin. Just read some of the other posts and how folks have helped here, even the newbies.
A suggestion might be that when you start a thread, stay engaged and ask the questions. Don't just dodge in and out. That tends to make folks think you are wasting their time and leaves you wide open.
Just my 2 cents...

FredinNY,
It's like a fraternity around here - there's a bit of hazing. Maybe to separate the men from the boys. You know, like BB vs SB, etc, etc.
Eventually we'll come to love you. Just like how patrickt loves me, now.

So for 3 weeks it never occurred to you that it would be thoughtful and polite to return to the thread you started and respond to the questions asked by those trying to be helpful? Maybe you're a little arrogant yourself. Enjoy that Corvette.

All true. Well I can't speak to Patrick's love for Rodney.. that's between them!
So, now we have to come up with a Greek Fraternity name for the site?

Fred,
Truth be told, this cobra car hobby thing is based off deception. It's like the exorcist girl who turns her head 360- u gonna find a few insecure cobra replica owners getting whiplash to protect their hobby/investment.
simply block out the noise and speak to the many cc members who offer sincere advice. whatever path you take, enjoy the process. it's a hobby. it should be fun
good luck
