Default 50th aniversary CSX

While i am loathe to post a link certain to provoke the typical asinine nonsense, i figured someone would eventually anyway. 180K without the drivetrain?? Well, it is real, after all isn't it?

It is a nice looking car but that is a high price for a few different badges I think.

I further predict the announcement of a limited edition "Red", "White", and "Blue" edition. I then see a "Memorial" limited edition, then a "Riverside" limited edition, and finally, a see the "Farmer" limited edition.

In reality, anything to garner further interest in the car/company to boost sales. The spin of course will come off as "this is what CS would have produced if he was still alive", and "now is your chance to get on board with this limited edition, a worthy investment".

Just my two cents worth, having watched the spin from the very earliest of CSX4000 (ok, actually CSX3000 continuation) series car advertising and "PRwire" news releases and announcements. If someone is fool enough to get caught up in the hype, and spend their own hard earned money on this "investment quality" purchase, who am I to question it. After all, it is their money and not mine.

And does anyone remember the "Ferrari's Ass is Mine" edition? I saw one a couple of years ago still wrapped in plastic. Basically a 4000 series with "FAIM" or "FIM" badging...can't remember. I do remember that the owner could't sell it for what he thought it was worth.

And wait a minute...aren't they in the 6000 numbers now? So, you are getting a new 6000 car numbered back in the 4000's? Not that there is probably much difference, but just an observation...

Some 4000 series numbers were held back. It was supposed to be for alloy body cars. But they probably have a few to burn for other uses.

Now THAT badge would make a great paperweight.

And of course, they'll all "sell out" immediately.

Yeah, the one I saw had been sitting for 2 years and the guy just wanted it out of his shop while the owner kept trying to sell it.

$30,000 extra for some badges?

I don't need no stinking badges!

Put an aluminum cammer + TKO in it and then shoot REAL 1 an email, he may want to trade up

Speaking of REAL1, his Cobra just went up $20K, because the aluminum CSX rollers just went from $160K to $180K, assuming the alloy roller increase sticks as I would expect. So assuming his finish cost with his options and specs is $80,000, figures per him, then his CSX4000 is now worth $260,000.

I'm not in the same class as Real1, since my car is 'glass, but our numbers are close and I like to think mine is pretty true to original as well. So, I'm all for these going for as much as possible. All I can say.

Well, if an alloy 50th Anniversary CSX is $180K, and a alloy run-of-the-mill CSX is $180K, which one would you buy

It's only worth what someone else will pay for it. People will always pay more for a CSX, but that doesn't make it more enjoyable to drive. But if someone else will pay that, then that's what it's worth. I'll take my KMP, but it's certainly worth less then a CSX.

Once the 50 are spoken for, then I'd expect the 50th AN roller price to become the new standard alloy price. That's what I'm talking about.

So, how many threads do we need on this re-badged super exclusive car anyways?
