Not really, as his Hemmings ad is using the same stolen FFR pictures that he denied using in the original thread. Such a shame he had to lie to the members here. While it helps his google search rating, it will eventually lead to the demise of that side of his business.
Of course as usual, the history of most of your posts on clubcobra are really just meant to stir the pot further while you sit back and watch the mayhem unfold further. It makes me want to ask whether you really believe what you post, or do you get off on the aftermath?

You couldn't be farther from the truth, and that would apply to you on several fronts. Rather than be judge, jury and executioner why don't you take a break and wait for CobraDan and Dave Hackney to inform us of their visit to the Alloycars factory? Unfortunately you've decided to be the Ralph Nader of the cobra world, and like him you have lost your ability over time to be objective or fair. Too bad, you're a man of substantial knowledge of cobras but are denigrating a guy who has a proven business in alloy replica manufacturing. Pick up the phone and call FFR and see if -
1) Permission was grated by FFR for Alloycars to use that photo, and
2) If there is a plan to have Alloycars provide an alloy shell to FFR owners as an option
Until then, you are just shooting from the hip and making a fool of yourself.

I did pick up the phone.
1: No permission was asked, nor granted as the car in question is not owned by FFR. FFR however has permission to use those pictures on their site by the owner of the car.
2: Remains unanswered as I was not able to speak with Dave Smith live.
Some of us like to fact check whenever a new player hits the field, those same people always have the best interest of all Cobra enthusiasts in mind, and will call out a liar in a heartbeat (still no letter from his attorney, wonder if his attorney was worried about a lawsuit, and the subpenas of all of their business records, emails, and ISP files. I suspect they would be out of business in short order if that occurred).
You on the other hand, and your previous posts prove the point, do not always. You post to stir the pot, you post to create further controversy, and then you sit back and get your jollies watching the chaos. Anyone who does a search of your posts on this forum can draw their own conclusions. Same with mine.

8-10 positive posts (not the pr-newire stuff they continue to put out on a daily basis being picked up by the google bots) in ten+ years of being in business is not what I would call "a lot of" anything. Although, it does look like they put out a beautiful 550 product, and have sold very few to date at 300K), it appears they are selling more bits and pieces than anything else. Yet even on the 550 project, they took credit of other peoples work and stated it was their own. They got away with it then, so they figure they could do so with the Cobra replica and pull the wool over us "stupid Americans" (they should not leave the sound on for their cameras, after reading this, I'm sure they will turn the sound off now ).

Check out pages 142-144 of Car Builder , "Snake Charmer" Looking Back At Some Memorable Cobras, by Editor Jim Youngs. All the Cobras that he looks back on as being "memorable" are all GM powered. Long Live the Bow Tie Cobra!

I also just got my issue of Car Builders January- February 2015 issue & on page 5 is an Alloycars add and then on page 26-27 we have an article titled Cobra Customizing Tips authored by Steve Temple. Photos credited to Steve Temple, Harold Pace (who passed away on December 1-2014 page 8), and Joe Greeves. With only 3 actual pictures appearing in this 2 page article I have no idea why they list the 3 fellows, all with their camera in hand, I guess each one took a single picture. Joe Greeves has written many articles about the Deep South Cobra Club and I have talked with him many times at our annual Reptile Round Up. Trying to find the time for myself and friend Dave to make the trip to the other side has not been easy so far, but we are still planning on making and taking pictures for a real explanation on Alloycars.

Let's be very clear about something...especially you folks that can't read.
Actions taken concerning "Alloycars" as a member had to with the person's postings and has nothing to do with the ability or viability of the mfg. The identity of the member is somewhat ambiguous as to whether the person spoke on behalf the mfg's ownership, which already had a membership.
Any further discussion about the mfg's pros and cons which serves up any arguments will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. And let's be clear about that...it's not a suggestion but rather a warning.

That's an impressive setup. When doing stretch forming, we always used multiple tie down straps and a whole lot more hammering. Dies were normally resin cast and only good for a couple of uses. We couldn't pull the metal to yield, it was more helping it stretch when hammering. I can't imagine anyone investing that much $$ in dies and equipment until they have a significant demand.
