New Guy to Forum and Cobras
Good Morning All.
Just bought my first Cobra yesterday. Has been a dream car since I was a kid and now am able to realize the dream. It is a '65 351W bored and stroked out to 427, Borg Warner T-5, 8.8 rear with 3:55. Car has only 1400 miles on it. Love it!! Glad that I found this site so to be able to learn things from people that are in the know.

Congratulations and welcome! Nice looking Cobra. What brand is it - the lines look quite authentic - Hurricane? Unique Motorcars?

Welcome Likenu, your new car looks great. The more you drive these cars the more you will realize how much potential they have as a hot rod. Good luck take your time getting to know it's limitations, traction is the biggest one.

Thanks for the welcomes.
Buzz, I bought the car from the builders widow, her husband recently passed away. He was an engineer for Boeing Aircraft, and she told me that he made everything on the car. She said that he copied the body from a Factory 5, he made the chassis as well.
Mike, I did find out a bit about the traction yesterday, stepped on it a bit in 3rd gear and the rear wanted to step out a bit

Wow - that's really interesting. Well done scratch builds can be extremely beautiful and nicely done cars. I'm sure most here would love to hear/see some more details and pics, particularly of the interior and engine compartment. Solid axle or independent rear?

Welcome and sweet Cobra. I am sure you will hear from the Arizona guys if you haven't already. They seem like a wild bunch.
I'm a prev. How about some engine porn?

Welcome! Nice looking build. I agree, fairly authentic lines for a scratch build.

That is a very nice Cobra and congratulations on getting it. Take your time and learn your and the cars limits and you will have a lot of fun.
Where do you have your video posted. If on You Tube just go to the video and copy the URL and put that in your post. Looking forward to seeing it.
