That's great if that works for your clearance issue, now just get their 14" filter:

Ah yes, your right Bill, but needing a minimum clearance above the bowl vents, nearly negates the use of such a low height element. Far better off getting a low drop base that flows well, as he already has done.

It is a "constant" in the engine airflow formula:
cubic inches to cubic feet= 12 x 12 x 12 =1728
x 2 (induction stroke every second revolution) = 3456
Assuming 100% VE.
