Help me identify this Cobra top
I am trying to identify this Cobra top I know for sure its not for a Factory five. Not even close to clearing the roll bars.
The top is cloth. It had a built in channel that slip over the top of the windshield and it held by latches on each side.
It came with two style windows. Soft ones that are mad of vinyl and hard ones that attach to the tops of the doors. It also has a cover that goes over the top if you want to fold it down and not remove it. Any idea who makes this? Would like to get some instructions on it. I will most likely need to sell it as I usually only build FFRs
Thanks Mike

I had a contemporary Cobra with a similar side curtain. Is the bottom of the top where it fits to the body padded (rolled), with felt style padding?

not rolled. I did some more research and now suspect it might be a Backdraft racing top.

Does not look like a BDR top to me. And we never had the Top Boot either.

Michael: is the w/s channel 2 piece? Do you have the bows ?
If the w/s channel is two piece, allowing the top to be folded, it looks like a Superformance top, but I don't know what spf side curtains look like.
Backdraft w/s channels were one piece and made of fiberglass. That may have been changed since 2011 ( last time I worked on one )

Ok great. Thanks for the info. They windshield piece is 2 piece and feels like aluminum.
I do have the bows. The top does fold in half.

For purposes of comparison, the Superformance soft top manual: http://www.secondstrike.com/Technica...dowSoftTop.pdf

Right in the SPF manual it says the earlier soft tops had one window and a 2 bow frame. They went to the 3bow,3 lite top in 2003. The top I have has the single window and 2 bow frame, and it matched a friends spf top. Oddly enough, when I peeled back the vinyl from the w/s frame channels, "COB 130" was hand written on both pieces !

Motorhead. Do you have any pics of your top on the car? Where do the ferrules mount for the bows?
Thanks Mike

Mike: no pics, the top does not fit my car (Kirkham) I bought it for the bows and w/s channels. I will adapt those to my car and have a local shop make a new cloth top meant only to keep the sun off me and the interior.
The ferrules for a fiberglass car are usually mounted in the top of the rear fender, just aft of the door.
