Thanks for the help!

Is it a non-metallic? I would have thought that the original cars would have be non-metallic.

I imagine there is a difference in paint colors when PPG is compared to Limco? Is there an equivalent color in PPG?

If not, I may just use the PPG.

Thanks again.

Most big paint suppliers can translate codes between different manufacturers.

Guardsman was metallic, and yes, there are substantial differences in the color representation between different manufacturers.

Thanks for everyone's help. I have my answer.

I did not know that the originals used a metallic paint. In this case a car from 1964.

But most likely the metallic used was much finer than what is commonly used now-a-days. Possibly also less content too. It was tough enough spraying single stage metallic lacquer in a shop setting without striping or mottling after sand and buffing - so I'm sure they didn't go overboard with the metallic.
