If your answer doesn't stop at the "yes" then it's replica just like everyone else's. Anything after the "yes" is just a story. And anyone that reacts with excitement and amazement, because it's a Shelby, versus another brand of replica, just didn't understand the story.

Thank you RK.
...and that right there, ladies and gentlemen, is why people, en masse, don't jive with REAL1 on this topic.

Huh? Oy vey.
Your interpretation skills leave a lot to be desired. And your participation in this thread is really unnecessary. And people think my posts are nonsense.

Oh, I think my interpretation skills are very high. But we must be getting close when you have to throw out personal attacks. Eh?
Going to dinner now.

Same factory but nothing else in common. Have you ever looked at both chassis? This has been covered many times in other threads.

Mate, you are reading this all wrong - its NOT my kits is better than yours issue, its NOT an hierarchical issue, its NOT a jealousy issue... Pretending it is, is to avoid the point.
Its a simple issue of being purposefully dishonest to feed ones own ego.
Think of it like this: If we were both watching a tribute band, belting the same tunes as the real band, and I told your buddy, that the band was the REAL deal, would you not feel I was duping your mate? How would you view me if I did that, and we both KNEW that the band wasn't the real thing?
Simplez... If it aint one of the 998 from the 1960s, best get real, and not leave anyone with the impression that it is, lest you wish to be a "ban-me-for-swearing"...
Does Shelby's snake oil hold no bounds?

So, you interpreted that since my Kirkham, Evan's CSX, Patrick's ERA, Mike's FFR, etc., all lowly replicas, they have no inherent or intrinsic value, they're only worth scrap. And you'll give me $75 for my Kirkham scrap. And you'll make it $85 if my engine is aluminum. Uh huh.
It doesn't takeaway from the the fact that modern CSX's are replicas. And replicas cannot be genuine, real or authentic Cobras.
Facts, Fake, Fraud, Ned and Registry. That's what I always say.
Anyway, moving along. Definitely Duck The Fodgers or ABD. Anybody But Dodgers.

I prefer my Dolly The Sheep Analogy, but I'll add yours, the Tribute Band, to the list too.

You obviously lack knowledge of the Registry and the different classifications of original Cobras no less continuation Cobras. I certainly won't waste my time educating you so you understand my clear but subtle point and parallel. I let you just "wonder" about it or in your case most likely not as it would take too much effort on your part. Stumble along.

Good point! So is the band Journey the real Journey without lead singer Stephen Perry or now just a tribute band?
How about Foreigner without Lou Gramm?
Van Halen without David Lee Roth?
Queen without Freddie Mercury?
The Doors without Jim Morrison.
As far as I'm concerned, these bands are now just tribute bands of the originals. Except, perhaps, Van Halen. They actually replaced DLR with a great singer Sammy Hagar and went in another direction. But, in concert, Sammy doesn't sing David's songs and David doesn't sing Sammy's.
If someone told me they saw Styxx and Dennis DeYoung wasn't the front man, I would say they saw a good replica, but not the original.

Yes, yes. So you say. Yes. Sure. If it makes you happy. Maybe if you close our eyes, say it three times and click your heels like Dorothy maybe the simple facts, law and Registry will just disappear and you'll be in Kansas again.
Unfortunately for you and the rest of the sour grapes gang the facts, law and the World Registry say the opposite.
Sorry, but carry on.

OK, here's my revised poll for best analogy to describe and compare the Shelby Cobra replica to one of the genuine 998:
a) The Present-day Auto Manufacturer (Challenger, Ferrari, etc.) Analogy
b) The Mona Lisa by da Vinci Analogy
c) The Rolex Watch Analogy
d) The Dolly The Sheep Cloning Analogy
e) The Seafaring Vessel (row boats and dingees) Analogy
f) The Tribute Band Analogy
g) The Indian Motorcycle Analogy
I'm still voting "d."

I expected more from you. You obviously don't get it either or if you do you have your own "agenda". And yes, it is about ego. Absolutely...Its about the ego of those that don't own these cars having to tear down what they don't own. Cut the crap "mate". Let's not twist it pal.
You analogy is piss poor on a number of grounds but of course the sour grape "follow alongs" blindly think its just great. . Comical. You and your buddies can think of it "like that" (I and other Continuation owners don't that's for sure)as it explains why you and the rest continue to provide lame contorted arguments to support the unsupportable.
You obviously don't have a Registry or haven't read it or don't understand what you read or more likely like the others didn't like what you read and have a sour grapes agenda.
I've provided analogies directly on all fours that were simply ignored or brushed aside with inane analysis. Won't waste any further time on that one.
Why so combative???? Really? Not combative....just protecting the facts, law and Registry and calling BS when I see it. There's a lot of that here. .
Its all in Registry boys. Facts, law, Registry.
P.S. As to your idea to have a poll on this site on this issue, its a chance to actually see the maxim of "garbage in garbage out" in action. Perfect. Poll results here will definitely get me to through my Registry in the garbage. .

Still doesn't change the fact that unless you own one of 998, you don't have a genuine Shelby Cobra. If it makes you feel better, you can call it a "genuine replica." It's an oxymoron, but for you, it's fine.
Facts, fraud, Registry, logic and Ned The Curator.

Your posts do have a comical value. I just laughed and spit up coffee through my nose. omg. Your special.
I know your know trying to copy my line but you have to get it right. That means you need to read, comprehend, not leave out what you want and get it right. Go slow "Facts...., law,.... Registry"

Just please, leave your registry, bible, koran or any other book of "truth" at home...

PS: The poll was your idea... You kept telling us how many see it like you do... I just verbalized it for you
