Frankly the link is irrelevant for mine...
Whether it exists or not, doesn't change the fact that - If you're saying "YES" to the question "is it real" and it ain't one of the 998, quite simply, you have issues.
You boys are drowning in a tea spoon of water...

Exactly, what Evan posted is not part of the present day SAAC website.
The only mention of 4000's series cars is what I posted.
Here is the link. About SAAC | SAAC HQ
The only other mention is on the Registry page for Component Cobras

I don't know what Evan's intent was by posting an 8-year old SAAC statement, but what is germaine to our PRESENT DAY discussion is that the word " genuine," as it relates to the modern CSX replica, has been DELETED.
Ergo, SAAC doesn't consider them genuine Shelby Cobra's any longer. What they do get is "unequal status."
The next Registry will likely do the same, delete, delete, delete.

Unfortunately, that's a 7 or 8 year old link.

You asked for the link, I provided the link, and you're still b****ing. Other than having everyone roll over and acquiesce to your pontificating, what do you want?

And I thanked you too. Sheesh, chill-lax.
When I said "currently active link," what I was lookiing for was a valid October 16, 2015 web link, not a web link that is 8 years old and can't be accessed (or I can't) thru today's saac.com website. Even Ned asked when that statement, which you provided the link for, was written.
What do I want? Well, hmmm, since the holidays are coming, I'd like The Wizard of Oz movie, so I can see Dorothy click her heels three times and get back to Kansas.
But I want the original Technicolor version, not the newer re-released IMAX 3D version. You know, I prefer the genuine authentic original real The Wizard of Oz movie.

You know there's been many replica ruby red slippers made since the movie originals, right?
Couldn't resist!

REAL1 has been advising that we look in the registry. Can someone with a registry post the name of the owner of CSX4206?

I wonder if my old Dodge Omni GLH-S is listed in the SAAC book? It is a real Shelby.

Uh, not exactly. You forgot to quote the following from their current statement:
"In the 1990s and beyond, Shelby became aware of the increased interest and subsequent rise in value of the cars and began building another generation of them—both Cobras and Shelby Mustangs."

So, we'll use "another generation" to describe the modern Shelby Cohra replica. The words genuine, real and authentic have been stricken from the record.
The only problem will be that "another generation" Cobra won't fit on your license plate. Or SAAC's website's menu heading of "Component Cobra." That doesn't fit either.

That's your "interpretation"? "Deleted"? Of course you would interpret it that way. Uh, The Registry came out after that statement to my knowledge and recollection. Moreover, the new "statement" doesn't change or retract a thing as far as what the Registry says.
So if the Registry said what you want it to say...its gospel right? Being that it doesn't it's trash and illogical. You are clearly desparte to have it say what you want it to say. Its actually funny to watch.
Of course no other Cobra is accorded "equal status" as the original series are accorded. Duh. And your point is? Seems your actually becoming delusional.
Oh, btw the SAAC forum still separates discussions of the CSX Cobras both original and Current production Cobras from the forum for discussion for the "Replica and Tribute" cars.
Nothing has changed except your desperation.
Also, just what is Ned a "curator" of? Would love to know. We know he is the Registar of the CSX 3000 series for SAAC. So? We know he is "biased" towards the original cars and condescending to the current production Cobras. Speaks volumes as far as I'm concerned with regard to any of his comments on this subject. Not impressed.

That's true. However, neither do you.

You keep quoting the Registry as gospel, what, now it isn't?
When it suits your position, it's the Book of Evan. When it doesn't, it's trash.
Your "knowledge and recollection" of the dates when the Registry and The SAAC Statement came out means nothing, because you're posting a SAAC website statement that's at least 8 years old and saying its current. Ya sure right. I believe you and your knowledge and recollection.
Bottom line is that "genuine" is now gone! The registry will be next, but until then it still references your Shelby Cobra as a true replica and Conra-like. We all see the direction that SAAC is going, even if you don't.

I see it 180 degrees the other way. You're desperate. Your environment is changing around your wife's Cobra and you're having a very difficult time handling it.
I'm VERY comfortable in the only true fact here and that is there were only 998 genuine Shelby and AC Cobras produced. The rest are replicas, copies, tributes, etc.
Facts, fraud, Ned The Curator, Posting Info From Expired Links, Current SAAC Statement, Logic.
