GENUINE 427 SHELBY COBRA TO BE AUCTIONED AT
BARRETT-JACKSON LAS VEGAS FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Las Vegas –Sept. 22, 2015 – For the 50th anniversary year of the iconic big block Shelby Cobra, Planet Shelby Cobra will sell one of the rare roadsters at the 8th Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector Car Auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Saturday, Sept. 26. The stunning Le Mans blue continuation Shelby Cobra, CSX6124 (Lot #735), was built in Las Vegas and features a period correct side oiler big block engine and other unique features. Barrett-Jackson will auction several historic Shelby’s at their Las Vegas event this year. This particular Shelby Cobra will be sold at No Reserve.

Shelby American has a manufacturing facility near the Las Vegas strip. From this state-of-the-art facility, the company builds the Cobra 427 S/C (CSX4000/CSX6000), Cobra 289 FIA (CSX7000) and street Cobra (CSX8000) component vehicles. While still true to its heritage, these genuine Cobras incorporate subtle, modern updates that make it even more enjoyable to own than those built in the 1960s.

CSX6214 is finished in the iconic Shelby Le Mans Blue with Wimbledon White stripes. It is equipped with a period correct 1960’s era 427 side oiler engine, robust manual 5-speed transmission, all-independent suspension and four wheel disc brakes. The Cobra is fully documented and includes a copy of the original MSO signed personally by Carroll Shelby.
