CMC, Jasper 395ci engine, Richmond 5spd. New wheels are in order but all in all, a good machine. A blast to drive.

Congratulations Scott. You don't appear to be vertically challenged, so you will find lots of good information here about how tall guys have created extra space with clever pedal/seat/floor mods. There are a number of 6'5" 240lb guys sitting well under the windshield with heaps of leg room.

Scott, that is great and now you will be having a lot of fun. Nice looking Cobra and the wheels that are on it aren't bad. Have fun but take it easy until you are familiar with the car.

You are correct. I'm not vertically or horizontally challenged. 6'3", 325lbs. I was suprised how comfortable and how much room I have in this car. That being said, you can't have too much room.

I like the style, it's just that the rears stick out so far that it looks like one of the CARTOONS cars. Haha.

Looks great, enjoy! You may want to adjust that hoop behind our head or at least pad it. Looks like if you accelerate hard or get hit by someone else your head will hit it

Congrats on the Cobra.
Nice area to cruise around, be safe and keep the rubber down.

Well now - she is great looking.

May take a while to loose that grin...but it sure is fun having it.

Sure looks that way - more offset / backspacing should fix that. I know American Racing has 2-piece 'custom' versions of the Torq Thrust wheels, if you only need / want to replace the rear wheels. You can pick your backspace to get the look you want.

The "War Dept" and I are gonna look for wheels until we find a set that catches our fancy. I had a little time today and polished the outside of one. Made a huge difference. She wants chrome. I'm in no big rush.

Took the "War Depth" out to dinner tonight for our anniversary. She wanted to take the Cobra. She said I did great. She loves it.

The offsets on the FF wheels may work for you, but they're not chrome: Roadster - Wheels - Factory Five Parts Catalog

American Racing has their VN427 wheels available polished, plus custom backspacing: American Racing : Heritage: VN427 Shelby Cobra

Vintage Wheels (advertiser and supporter on Club Cobra) has both bolt-on and pin-drive wheels: Vintage Wheels, Hot Rod and Muscle car

Happy hunting!

Congrats on the Cobra and the anniversary. Enjoy both to the max. Be safe out there and share some of your early experiences and impressions - there'll be plenty. Driving a Cobra is a heck of an adventure compared to just about any other "normal" car.
