That "CSX #" is the big difference for sure......
CSX makes it collectable...
SPF makes it another replica ......
If it were me I would get a totally trick SPF, really the same car, and use the difference on a daily driver.
This is the KMS versus CSX4000 car debate all over again.

The big difference in equipment is that the CSX comes with a Salisbury rear and the Superformance has a ZF rear. The Salisbury rear is maybe a $5,000 option.
I think some items that are standard on Superformance cars are optional on CSX cars.
Bottom line...the CSX number costs at least $20,000.

The SPF can be bought with a Salisbury differential if so opted.

Also, at least with the 4000 series CSX, there is wiring and an option for a Differential cooler. Another difference is frame construction between the two. Brake and clutch reservoirs come to mind as well and plenty more.

How about round tube versus square tube frame. You may not care but not a small difference.

No, the SPF and the CSX both have round tube frames. Built on the same tooling to boot. While the SPF MK III ("427") has a square tube chassis, the 289s are round, AC type frames with correct transverse leaf suspension.
