Richard,

That sounds like a really good streetable engine. Lots of power, but not too much. It should look good and run great in a Kirkham.

He includes standard start up instructions that assume the distributor has been removed or disturbed and the engine has been sitting a couple months. They want to see it pre-oiled and for who ever starts it up to be aware they can not assume it is timed correctly. Pretty standard stuff. Far as I know he dyno's every engine they build. They have an in-house dyno shop. I went down to his shop and watched the break in and dyno pulls on my engine - have video and pictures of it.

Don't know Lance since Tony and Keith handled my engine build but I have nothing but positive things to say for their business.

Agreed - from my research, your CAM spec and parts list suggest a solid streetable engine with plenty of power.

Thanks for sharing & enjoy your cobra build!

Over the weekend I saw that Keith Craft advertises on Club Cobra. I was cruising around on their website last night and I think that my engine is the same one built with an aluminum block, the Pond 482/496 FE Street Crate, except built with the NOS iron block. And, it is only 80 lbs heavier than an all aluminum engine.

All of my contact with KC were with Lance and Tony. Both were great guys to work with.
