The other alternative would be to throw on eBay for some free advertising or go full bore and send it to one of the August auctions here in Monterey. Some stupid drunk might pay $250,000.

What about taking it to that pawn shop in Vegas that is on TV? I hear they have some experience with CSX cars. :JEKYLHYDE

This whole thing is really pathetic.

Since you brought it up, show your grab-ass buddy some respect, it's Evan not Even lol.

As for him being a lot more in our heads than us in his, I'll let others be the judge of that. I figure if he is going to bring this thread up "over there", it's only fair we bring that thread up "over here"

Personalized Plates Thread

Pic of mine.
This ought to be good for a new thread for the yutzes over on CC.
It will give them a break from the 18 page thread they started regarding the sale of CSX 4206.

Too few good guys over there and too many jealous nasty trolls that are unbridled. Most biased anti Shelby forum in the universe contrary to their little motto on the banner. Disgusting what's allowed to go on. Low rent district of Cobra forums.

I could go read the thread easily but have 0 interest in doing so. Looks like they still care way more about what I'm doing and my Shelby than me about them and that's accurate for sure.

18 pages I'm told. has it been closed? Plenty of insults I'm sure. The moderator sitting on his fat arse doing nothing I'm sure. Same old stuff.

Well regardless looks like I can still start an 18 page thread even while being banned. How many guys can do that?

If any CC trolls are reading this...it's all in the Registry.

Glad we're not in Evan's head

Speaking of fat arse's, I'm getting a "body composition" (body fat) test in a couple weeks, has anyone ever had their body fat measured?

I figure if my Kirkham has to be lean, then the driver (me) has to be lean too. Although muscle weighs more than fat, so who the heck knows.

Yes, we recently had that done with our cat. It was not difficult.

So why do most of you even care how much Evan is asking for his car? If he doesn't get the price he wants no one here suffers. If he does get that price, no one here is paying it (unless one of you is a closet buyer). The only people who should care are those considering buying or selling a similar car and I don't think that describes most of you.

I've been urging RodKnock to come out of the closet for years.

Did you use the caliper or water tank test? I assume you used the caliper test, since there's no way you could get your cat fully immersed into a water tank. Although by the cat's reaction in the photo, it looks like you tried.

I'm just trying to make my Kirkham a bit quicker off-the-line by using a weight reduction strategy. I've weighed all the individual parts of my Cobra, like ERA2076 in his "Goodbye Kansas" thread, now it's time for the driver. :p:)

patrickt 03-08-2016 11:54 AM

The water tank test can provide misleading results depending on how recently you may have dined at Taco Bell.%/

Then I can guarantee you that the final results will be accurate, since the only time that I've ever used the bathroom at Taco Bell would have been on a long road trip. Who the heck would eat that dreck?

Bernica 03-08-2016 12:14 PM

So now who's off-topic?

uhhh, you mean like the Triple Quesalupa that's extra stuffed with melted pepper jack cheese, seasoned beef that is just-right, lettuce, double cheddar cheese, extra sour cream and tomatoes? Well, I certainly don't know....

My apologies to the OP (you), but someone brought up the term "fat arse." Oh ya, Joe's Garage did. Blame him. :p

Well, if 911 owners couldn't discuss "cars for sale" and the skyrocketing values of their cars, then the entire Porsche forum would shut down from inactivity. At least the air-cooled section. Those ridiculous Cayenne, Cayman and Boxster owners would just be discussing attractive lease rates and the best engine oil and waxes.

Bernica 03-08-2016 12:29 PM

Joe's Garage post containing Evan's rant is about what should have been expected. My only intention of starting this thread was to make folks aware that Evan was selling his car. Then things sort of took off and zig-zagged everywhere along the way. I'm quite sure he is enjoying hearing about all of this hub-bub. I still really wish him best of luck and hope he gets what he wants. And also as I have said before in this thread, someone show me a nicer 4000 series.;)

I hope you're not eating that crap. Your next MRI may detect trace elements of the entire periodic table and your body may have to be measured with a half-life and your age by carbon dating.

Yes, it may be the finest most authentic replica of a Shelby Cobra in existence.

And Evan's CSX4206 is roughly $100,000 +/- more than "Vernon Estate's" CSX4227, which recently sold and was asking $160,000.

Bernica 03-08-2016 12:48 PM

I do like the idea of him taking it to auction either in Monterey or Amelia. With the right promotion ahead of time and the right crowd full of cash, good liquor and wine, no telling what could happen!;)
