I would settle for a Triple Quesalupa. And if it makes you feel better, I'll sub in the low fat sour cream.

Hell yes. I'd own an original with a lot less than 20MM after taxes.
And still have a Cobra Hot Rod.

Joe's Garage - 20MM after taxes, you buy a Kirkham, then a Vette for the little lady, and you'd have 20k left over? :p

rodneym 03-10-2016 07:52 AM

Aaaaaaaaand, with all that leftover dough I'd buy RodKnock that SOHC he always wanted.
With the amount of miles he drives, it would be reliable forever.

It's called fuzzy math

In front of the $249K "auto upgrades", probably a yacht, a plane to fly to the yacht, a summer home on a lake, and a cigarette speed boat to get me to my favorite fishing spot :3DSMILE:

Thanks, yep, that's my dream engine, but make sure Robert Pond builds it. I'd have the Kirkham's drop it in for me. Only the best, baby!

You would be better off with just eating the full fat variety of sour cream alone and deleting the Quesalupa.

The future of our society is portrayed best in the movie WALL-E. ;)

Speaking of charity...

I would buy it for its asking price, just so Evan could say "I told you all so" (seemingly he needs it), and then all CSX boys and girls can rejoice with glee.

Good luck to 'em

I'd give Evan $160,000 for it right now, just so I can say "I told you so." :)

Then I'd put the Cammer in it that Rodneym bought for me, strip the black paint off and polish the aluminum body. Now we're talking.

Then I'll have to endure the intense-perfumed atmosphere of my local Abercrombie & Fitch and buy a pair, if Evan sells to me.

In my view, he is the Cobra guy by which all others are measured.

How much to build?

Question: couldnt a person build a similar or "better" cobra continuation for less than $250K? What is so special about CSX4206? Is his engine & parts off a 1960s Cobra? I remember Evan asking a "Dr Bob" for NOS cobra parts.

Don't forget Anthony here in SoCal. He has two or three originals, never restored, that he drives everywhere. Shows up at the Bob's Big Boy car show in Burbank often and I have run into him at other shows. He just hops in and drives them everywhere.

Ron61 03-11-2016 07:38 AM

Jamie Massata who used to live here had 3 OR 4 original Cobras and 2 GT-350s and he races them at LagunaSeca. He used to drive them around here a lot also.

Ron
