Give me two colors any day. It just makes sense.

Hey, I have no problem with you using a Federally-banned substance since 2013. I know that you know which Federally-banned substances to use or not use. :)

It's still legal in the land down under. I'm sure there are a few guys on here that would happily send you a can or two. Remember, Australia started out as a penal colony.

That little thread on 4048 is indeed a Waltz, maybe even a Beguine, through the Gates of Hell itself.

Someone here in my workplace comes from Australia and I just reminded him of that fact yesterday. And it's ironic that he had to spend an extra week in his homeland, over the holidays, because of visa problems trying to re-enter the US.

As for the brake fluid, blue, amber or clear, doesn't matter to me as long as nothing ends up on the floor or on my car. :)

patrickt 01-28-2016 10:00 AM

Every fluid in my car has dripped at one time or another and that's one reason I like different colors for different fluids. My oil is green, my coolant is green, my brake fluid is gold, but soon to flip back to blue, and the transmission is red. Some of the old Mobil1 grease had separated from the wax and left a small red puddle at the front of the car late last year -- that threw me for a while. I had changed to Schaeffer's a few years ago, which drips brown, but there's still some Mobil1 floating around in there.

I'm no mechanical genius, but I can figure what's leaking by color and location. And I don't need blue's and green's to help me. I'm pretty sure you could sleuth your way to finding the origin of a leak without the help of colors.

But blue is my favorite color.

Maybe.;) But that's not nearly as cool as putting a different colored UV dye in to each of your fluids. That way, when you find a drop on your garage floor, you just whip out your UV flashlight and it will glow yellow, white, green, bright blue, yellow/green, blue or red. Now that's cool. My cars don't leak, so I never worry. :p

Must be tough working on the beige Exxon Valdez there.

As I read, I am glad the true essence of the club is still present.

We ARE the largest unbiased Cobra club/site in the world. People are welcome from all walks and with that, we DO protect that freedom.

Evan was a member.

His personality is one we may reflect on as we meet new members.

Hmm....

Well put. I think anyone that crosses the welcome mat and comes through the door into our house should be treated as a new friend first. After all, we welcomed them in the first place.;)

As long as they wipe their feet first. ;)

The sofa is in his garage. That's why he can't push his car two feet forward or backward (from the "How Do I Avoid Tire Flat Spots" thread).

As requested , a true BLUE SuperBlue flush today of the clutch and rear brakes using a Claussen pickle jar and clear vinyl surgical tube. I know some guys like the gravity method, some like pressure bleeders, some like vacuum jobs, etc. But, IMO, there's just nothing better than a tube and a pickle jar. I'll catch the big Sierras up front next weekend. Ellie slept through the whole flush.
