Please help me to identify my Cobra!
My name is Thomas Langstadlinger, I come from Austria and I have since a half year a Cobra Replica. I do not know until now what the company Cobra has built.
Key figures: V8 Ford Engine 460, GFJ, coilover RMA, intake manifold carburetor, rims Edelbrock, Wildwood Brakes, MSD Ignition, MSD ignition distributor, Summit Racing alternator, VIN 6U65Z102184
Photos are in my album.
It would be very important to learn for myself, who has built my Cobra.
thanks for help.
regards Tom

I don't think it's a Factory Five although I'm not sure what it is. It pretty clearly appears to have a rectangular section frame and the radiator is slightly tilted back. It has a few unique features - the trunk handle is below the trunk lid and the overriders are oversize. The body does resemble a pre-Mk IV model in some features.

The VIN is to a 1966 Galaxie convertible with a 390 4V. Doesn't look like a 66 Galaxie to me........

Seems to me that the trunk handle on the A&C is located there.

Thanks for the answers.
Factory Five is definitely not because I have sought and received the following reply.
Hi Thomas,
We’ve looked at your photos and It does not look like one of our kits. That is also not one of our chassis numbers. Ours would be like F5R0000XXXXRD.

I have an A&C. I agree the trunk handle is consistent. The gas tank design is similar. Frame has similarities. Gauges were similar. I couldn't get a good look, but the hood hinges seemed different. Front suspension looked different. I cannot say for sure.
A&C typically have color in the gel coat not needing paint (optional). The design is a very simple frame that does not support the body, and the body is very thick and strong. The opposite strategy to a FFR design.

Antique & Collectible Autos Inc. it's not because I've got the following reply today
Your frame is similar to ours but the shocks in rear do not match. Door cards, radiator mounting, wheel openings and vin number are different.
Thanks Joe

I remembered seeing those oversize over riders somewhere and I guess it was this thread.
Need help to identify this Cobra?
But I don't think it's the same manufacture - note the hood opening at the latch points.
