Mark IV,
I'd just want to clarify since I can't keep track with all these limited editions...

The Shelby 50th coupes...the ally ones are Kirkham and the glass ones are HiTech...but...
There are huge differences IMO between the two. From my experience, the KMS coupes are more original and raw but the glass cars from HiTech are simply the Brock/Shelby glass ones or are they a new/different coupe? Because those glass coupes are nice, but they're a completely different animal.

Would you say the differences between the 50th ally and glass coupes are "greater" between them than between an ally Shelby (KMP) and a glass Shelby (HiTech) Cobra? It's well known the differences between KMP and HiTech Shelby Cobras but the coupe differences are night and day. Or am I comparing the KMP sourced coupe to the old Brock/Shelby coupe?

I also saw an ally Shelby coupe that supposedly was built at HiTech. That appeared to be an ally version of the Brock/Shelby coupe, not the raw "original" style coupe.

I am NOT a Shelby dealer but yes, the fiberglass coupe is a third generation version of the SPF/Brock coupe. And you can get an ally version of the Hi Tech coupe that is not the Kirkham sourced 60's CSX version. The HT coupe is bigger in all dimensions as per Pete Brock's instructions and has AC, power windows and locks, etc. Confused yet?

I almost bought one of the HiTech aluminum Coupes in 2011. The car had been started for a buyer who backed out and left a significant deposit. The price was 200K for car with power train (Roush) included. I bought the Ford GT instead. It was a smoking deal because when I asked Lance if they would do another his price in 2015 was 300K+ for just the roller. He indicated their initial cost estimates to build it were way off. At that time he said they had built two.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm straight on my coupe knowledge.
But one question remains....
Who makes the carbon fiber anniversary coupe....
