Very nice. I am in need of some new rubber and MT is at the top of my list. What size did you buy? Looks like 15" rims which is what I have.

Yep 15" all around. Running 235/50's front and 275/60's back. Really happy with them.

With sticky tires, you may notice the sound of popcorn popping at times when driving. That would be the little rocks they are picking up and spitting out under and around the car.

How would you say these tires run in the corners? Have you pushed your ride hard in the corners w/these tires? Any rubbing or rolling?

I currently run AVON's and love them. I really like the looks of the Mickey Thompson ET S/S. Just wonder if someone has had AVON's and the Mickey Thompson on all four corners of their Cobra and could share their thoughts. I'd buy AVON's again yet the Mickey Thompsons are half the costs so I'm interested in people's feedback.

There's a thread on here somewhere about that very question. One common theme was that the drag radials were super impressive in 99% of situations on the street, but at the ragged edge of adhesion the lateral grip would let go quicker and with less warning than the more progressive and consistent Avons.
MT drag radials are impressive if you know the limitations, but the few who had used both brands said Avons are a better tire if cost isn't a consideration.

I thought you got the M/T "SR"s but looking closer I se they are the drag radials.
30 PSI is pretty high. The rule of thumb is about 1 LB for each 100# of vehicle weight, so 23-25 PSI would likely be the target.

I would NEVER run drag radials on the front as they have Waaaaay too much sidewall flex, for obvious reasons. Even the true drag guys don't run them on the front. A CJ jeep with a 10" lift would have better cornering capabilities. Just saying...

Sounds like MT SRs are the right tire for road and track use?
I see that there is a range of front tire size being selected throughout the tire threads - 235(/50)s in this instance, 245s and 255s for others. Comments on this? Might as well chime in on 275/60 vs 295/50 for the rear while we are having the discussion. What really fits best on each end?
Also wondering if MT offers a white letter option? I have old Goodyears now, and like the look of the white lettering. I don't think I am interested in doing a billboard conversion on my own...

I haven't had a chance to get on these tires. Still cold up here and with new tires and a new cobra owner, i'm taking it easy. So I can't comment on cornering beyond a slow curve. Maybe this summer i'll push it a bit. Right now the only thing i'm pushing is my foot on the brake

M/T "SR" tires are not metric sized and are not white letter. You can add the letters with the Tredwear kit.
The SR tire sizes are 26/10x15 front and 26/12x15 rear or you can use the 28/12x15 in most rears. Some like the taller 28s to fill the wheel well up. I have an unused , new pair of 28s that I will sell for $350 for the pair, they sell at Summit for $242 each.
