NJ Registration
Anyone register their kit car in NJ? My car is currently registered in Fla but I am selling that property and need to register in NJ, I have seen several cobra kits with NJ tags but curious as to how to proceed.
Thx
Gary

Gary,
Since the car is already titled in Florida (I assume in your name), then NJ, being a reciprocal state, will accept Florida's title at face value.
Yes, it is that easy.

Hi, Gary. I purchased and registered my used Superformance MKIII last year. It was originally titled as a 1965 Cobra so all I had to do was take the title to MVC and register it. I did not register it as a manufactured vehicle nor did I get historic tags. Just a plain ol' registration. The only issue I ran into at DMV was that they wanted a notarized odometer statement because the car only had 5200 miles on it and it was titled as a 1965. I guess they thought such low miles for an old car was suspicious. The dealer I purchased the vehicle from provided the notarized statement so it was not a problem with MVC.
I see you are in Voorhees, NJ. Looks like you are right next door to me as I am in Berlin.

Mr Mustang-Thanks! I assumed there would be some BS, thus, a pleasant surprise.
MCoop-I have not seen a SPF car locally, I live in Sturbridge Lakes FYI and would love to check out your ride.

I have a black BDR, you may have seen it around. Prior to the black car I had a silver/red stripes BDR, there is a cars and coffee once/month at the NJ Alehouse in case you didn't already know. I prefer the Ale over Coffee
Thx for the info!
Gary

Which states have a reciprocal agreement with New Jersey?

Last time I checked, about two and a half years ago while still in the northeast, all but Wisconsin, CT, CA, and I believe Texas
