Default New Go-Pro Mount

Hey guys,

So my RAM mount came in today. One of the few products that will mount directly to a 3 inch roll bar. I have it mounted up top so the Go-Pro films over the windshield. You can see the driver , cockpit , hood and road ahead. I will post video as soon as I can, it is raining today

But this should be an awesome setup! Thought I would share since a few of you said you had difficulty finding a good mount setup.

Looks nice, how much did that cost and where did you get it from?

Got it from Amazon for $39.00 shipped with all parts. I went to their actual website and they wanted $57. Here's were I got it.

Nice setup. You should also look into the new 360 Fly camera. Its a completely different experience and the footage is fully interactive.

Nice setup. I have the Hero Session which has no way to use external mic. I have to suction cup mine behind the winshield to kill wind noise.

I have the Go Pro 4 Silver and I got one of the bean bag mounts that my Garmin unit uses and used a dremel to cut the Garmin arm off. Then I put the Go Pro mount on that and I can turn it to any angle. I also just set it on the dash of either of the cars and there is no wind noise and the videos come out very well, including the shaking from our lousy roads. And the bean bag mount will not move and I can place it anywhere in the car.

I got the pictures in and will post them now.

This is the Garmin Bean Bag Mount that I use with my Garmin unit.

This is the mount that I ordered and cut off the tube and ball. That lever on the back lets the mounting unit slide out.

This is the Go Pro Helmet mount stuck to the Garmin base that slides out.

Anmd this is the Go Pro mount slid into the Garmin base. You can swivel it 360 degrees and lock it in any position. The base is heavy and has a rubbery type bottom so it will stay on anything. I put it on the dash of the coupe which is slickl and it never moves.

You can go to You Tube and just type my name in the search bar and it will bring up 12 videos I think it is. Some of them are with the NASCAR Cobra and others with the Coupe. I will see if I can post one here. It looks a little washed out as the day was somewhat hazy and the sun really affected the video.

You are more than welcome. As soon as we get some decent weather I plan to make some more on drives to other locations. Maybe to Mt. Lassen and Weaverville if they ever get through messing with the road over there.

With the music it is hard to tell what you have. The Cobra experience is so much about the noise. It's impossible to convey in video but hearing the exhaust clearly is very important in my opinion. I use a cheap external mic and I think it helps with the sound.

This is a nothing video but I think the sound speaks for itself.

Bill,

You have a nice Cobra and it really sounds good. My camera doesn't have a place to plug in an external mike so I have to rely on the built in one.

Ron you can get a cable for an external mic. It is a mini USB. I'd send you a link but I m on my phone. I made a post on it once.

I can't really tell from the music just what rattle you are talking about. If you mean that clicking at the start it is to even to be a rattle and sounds more like something from the music. I had one video that did have a rattle but it was because I set the camera to close to the windshield and our rough roads were causing it to just bump the windshield enough to be heard.
