Default SMC 94 Cobra - can't find VIN

Hi everyone - i just bought a 94 Cobra built by SMC (they are out of business). I need to get the car through emissions and inspection in Virginia but can't seem to find where is the plate with the vin number. Any help would be much appreciated. The owner of the car from who I bought the car does not know. thank you. Pawan

Resurrecting two threads from 2015 and 2016 expecting a response by the OP's who have not been here for quite some time does not bode well for you.

Perhaps creating a new thread after reading the link below would be a better choice.

If you use the "New Posts" button then it doesn't matter and creating a second topic saves having duplicate info between them.

Just don't expect the original poster (and if the topic is really old) any of the previous posters to participate.

Default Engine compartment, I think.

I built a couple of SMC cars back in the day and from what I remember the serial number was stamped into the frame rail in the engine compartment on the driver's side. I could be wrong but that is what I remember. I also remember that the bodies were excellent!
