Please help with color
Dear all,
It has been a while since I posted to this site- long enough to where I forgot my login!
My cobra is at the paint shop due to a teenager not paying attention! Due to the damage, and being on the road for 11 years, I thought it may be time for a fresh look.
My wife and I really like this color and would greatly appreciate any assistance in finding a paint code.
Thank you in advance,
Simon

Looks like Viking Blue. I'm not on my computer, so hard to search but paint code would be an easy find.

Tough to tell what color it is without knowing the car it came on. Each computer screen will show it to be a bit, and you may still not know if the photograph was enhanced with photoshop before you saw it

Thank you for all the replies.
mrmustang, the picture (found through a google search) brings me back to Shelby America CSX 4000, though I can not find this as one of their color offerings.
I will try to reach out to them on Monday.

Looks like it has clear on the finish, giving it a watery look. That's also effecting the color and appearance.

color
does this look like the same color? If so I know the painter and can get the paint code.
Update; called the painter/owner Saphire blue a '66 Shelby color and might be a '66 T-bird color not a Mustang color.

Hi Dwight,
Do you have any more pictures of this car? It seems close.
Thank you,
Simon

If you google. Shelby cobra Viking blue that exact picture comes up. It's Shelbys stock photo. Call them for paint code.

Simon email me and I will sent you several pictures.
It would be easier than posting them here.

I think that you may find true FIA Viking Blue (aka - Princess Blue) to be a little darker. Portofino Blue, as used on Superformance cars as well as 90s era Fords might be closer. The examples I saw did not seem to "pop" like Azzuro California does...but that could be in the level of finish performed in the application and buffing. In any event, a silver blue does look great on these cars and is easy to live with... :-)

I think whatever color it is it has been photoshopped to an inch of its life to look it's coolest in the original picture. That color I real life probably looks nothing like the one pictured.

Sorry, but Ford Viking Blue and AC Cars Princess Blue are two very different colors.

I read somewhere that they were the same. Can you describe the difference? Just goes to show... :-)
