If you could drive your cobra anywhere ?
If you could drive your Cobra anywhere,.....you coukd imagine, without cops, no other cars, and no nagging wife/girlfriend , where would you go ?
With me in boring and flat Nebraska, I would love to drive in the twisting & rolling mountains !
Even Colorado, as it's not to far away, would be great. Maybe somday !
Upper east or west coast or Canada, in the fall, as well.

There are many West Coast and Rocky Mountain roads are close enough that I will probably get to them someday; so below are the fantasy roads that I will probably never make it to in my own car, due to distance and expense:
1) Tail of the Dragon.
2) Haast-to-Hokitika (New Zealand).
3) N-Ring (Germany)
4) Autostrada (Italy)

I love living here. Some of the best driving roads anywhere and lots of them are just outside my door. Lots of hills, view areas, twisty roads, a few tracks and autocross venues, and Highway 101 down the coast for a special treat when things get stale on the nearby routes.

If you like doing 180' turns in a narrow street with no view from what's coming from the top.
Much better is the route Napoleon in France.

I live in Northern California and we have some great mountain roads to drive on plus along the beach. But I would like to drive the Pikes Peak climb.

My bucket list is Route 66 East to West and then up Highway 1 in CA to San Francisco, thru Napa and then the Northern route home. Take a month and stop at all of the great sights along the way.
This trip will happen. I need to get my career to a point I can take that much time off and have a job when I get back.

Italy--esp. the northern Alps area. Stationed near there long ago and have never forgotten the the warm and kind people, great food, and stunning vistas. Always dreamed of retiring there.

I'v driven all kinds of roads on 4 continents. Without a doubt, Colorado is my favorite. Day after day of beautiful roads and stunning vistas. Everything from high mountain passes to endless open plains. We have driven some of the roads in a rather "spirited" manner, and they just can't be beat.

Pacific Coast Highway north from LA to SF would be number one. My daughter tells me Rt 101 north of SF is stunning. With a tow across country in my enclosed trailer first, I'd have to have at least a month off from work, which would also have to include first going to Chicago, then SW on Rt 66. If you can't tell by now, I'm a CT Yankee.
Tail of the Dragon is also a possibility and only four hundred miles away. Speed is not an issue.
