Why does the odometer show 7 miles and the trip meter show 777?

There can be multiple answers. The mileage is 100007 and the trip odometer is 777.
Or the trip odometer was being sent back to zero and when you do that, the numbers combine like 666, 777, 888, 999, and finally 000. |

I'd prefer to see Larry Ellison, Mark Cuban, Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, or one of the other uber-rich American car collectors bring the best bid, rather than seeing it end up on a boat headed for central Europe, or the UAE...
